Chancay Figure. An excellent Chancay figure from Peru, c. 1000 - 1200 AD.  This elaborately decorated Huacho style male is 7-1/2" high and is adorned with the typical striped headdress and facial décor.  He is adorned with a molded necklace and ear ornaments. Good paint, strong mineral deposits. Ex Caravallo collection. Value range $250 - $400.
