Huari Polychrome Dish. A lovely Huari polychrome dish from Peru, c. 650 – 800 AD. This highly unusual footed bowl is 6-1/8" in diameter and is decorated with a pair of confronting figures, separated by linear design elements. The exterior is encircled by a molded band of triangular designs, each containing a raised dot pattern. The raised foot is hollow and contains rattles, a rarely seen element. Intact, with good mineral deposits. Ex Caravallo collection. Value range $500 - $700.
