Stone Axe. A finely made Mezcala stone axe, c. 1000 – 400 BC. It is 3-1/2" long and was found in the Puerto Vallarta area of Mexico. It is made from fine greenstone, is nicely polished and is grooved for hafting. The bit is slightly chipped showing extensive usage. Good mineral deposits. Ex Korda estate. Value range $100 – 150.
