PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Uncertain mint. Mid 5th century-333 BC. AR Drachm (11mm, 3.94 g, 5h). Imitating Athens pi-style coinage. Helmeted head of Athena right, with profile eye / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left. Gitler & Tal IX.1D. Toned, compact flan. VF.
Based on the oval and thick form of the flan, this coin may actually be an early issue of Edom (Idumaea), before the obverse die became degraded.
