JUDAEA, Anthedon. Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ (26mm, 11.26 g, 12h). Dated CY 9 (AD 230/1). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Turreted Tyche seated left, holding short scepter and resting hand on shield at her feet. Cf. Rosenberger 8-9; RPC VI Online 9157; cf. Sofaer 4-5. Rough dark brown surfaces, areas of weakness. Fine. The date is unstruck but is a reverse die match to the RPC specimen. Very rare date with only two cited by RPC.
