Vespasian. AD 69-79. AR Denarius (17.5mm, 2.93 g, 5h). "Judaea Capta" commemorative. Rome mint. Struck circa 21 December AD 69-early 70. Laureate head right / Trophy; to right, Judaea seated right in attitude of mourning, head resting in hand; IVDAEA in exergue. RIC II.1 2; Hendin 6509; RSC 226. Darkly toned, coin was probably holed, and later chipped at edge. VF.
