Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (16mm, 3.18 g, 6h). "Travel series" issue ("Provinces cycle") – Restitutor type. Rome mint. Struck circa AD 130-133. Laureate head right / RESTITVTORI AFRICAE, Hadrian standing left, holding volumen, about to raise Africa who is kneeling right, holding grain ears and wearing elephant skin headdress; no stalks of grain between them. RIC II.3 1569 var. (two stalks of grain between); RSC 1223 var. (same). Toned, hairlines and a few scratches. Good Fine.
