Saxony. Friedrich August I Taler MDCCXI (1711)-ILH MS63+ NGC, Dresden mint, KM803, Dav-2655. Struck upon the death of Joseph I. Vicariate coins were issued during the interregnum until the new Emperor would be elected. This elevated the status of the Vicar who had almost all the rights of the emperor, coins would contain images and inscriptions as a testimony to that increased status. Exhibiting a perfect degree and dispersion of dove gray toning accented by blue and lavender hues, well struck and awarded a plus designation for being at the top end of the assigned grade.
