CAESAR-DICT•IN•PERPETVO, laureate, veiled head of Julius Caesar right / C•MARIDIANVS, Venus standing facing, head left, Victory in right hand, resting left elbow on shield set on globe. Crawford 480/15. Sydenham 1068. Despite the gentler strike, the full obverse legend, boasting the Dictator's title and name, and a great deal of the iconic portrait are visible in relatively sharp detail.
