Great Britain
Oliver Cromwell Crown 1658/7 MS61 NGC, KM393.2, S-3226, ESC-240 (prev. ESC-10). Dies by Thomas Simon. An immense beast of a Crown in covetable Mint State without conditional modifiers. The infamous obverse die crack is already well formed and traversing nearly all the way across, indicating this coin originates from the later life-stage of the die. Regardless, this piece greets the viewer with resplendent patination and an enviable quantity of struck detail, all complimented by a beguiling and cautious underglow when viewed at an angle.
