Horthy Miklos Regency gold Proof Piefort Restrike 100 Pengo 1938 BP-UP PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC, cf. KM-XPn41 (Piefort Unlisted), Fr-595. Patterned edge. A simply tempting Restrike originally commemorating the 900th anniversary of the death of St. Stephen, first King of Hungary, later reproduced by a US numismatic firm in Ohio. The only representative on NGC's census of this Piefort variety, the first of its kind we have encountered as well. Deep mirrors flit around the exactingly rendered devices, a splendor of the faces equaled by the delicate pattern adorning the flan's edge. Of the upmost quality, expected to command bidding activity commensurate with that caliber.
