British India. George VI copper Pattern 1/2 Anna 1943 MS65 Red and Brown NGC, Calcutta mint, S&W-9.202. Extremely scarce off-metal strike as copper was necessary for the war effort. Glossy and stunningly preserved, the chestnut flan comes alive with a red underglow. This is the only example known at either grading service.
