Sold with an contemporary case by J. Dunlop, Dumbarton; in somewhat worn condition.
David Walker was born in Dumbarton, Scotland on 6 Nov 1909, the son of David Walker who was an iron turner. He received his education at Dumbarton Academy, gaining prizes in all his classes and gained the Overtoun Gold Medal for Classics as the best pupil in his year.
