Obverse: Laureate head right; Reverse: Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left; crescent beneath eagle's head. A fine portrait of Macrinus with sharp detail. This impressively preserved example offers full radiant luster in the fields, toned to an elegant warm hue.
