This medal celebrates the bicentennial of the presentation of the tenets of the new Lutheran faith to the Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Augsburg on June 25, 1530. Obverse: Conjoined busts of Martin Luther and Philipp Melancthon facing right. Reverse: The reading of the statement of the Lutheran faith to Emperor Charles V at the Diet of Augsburg, quote from 1 Timothy 6:12, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life ... a good profession before many witnesses."
