This enthralling collection features issues from the British involvement in Palestine, with bars reading PALESTINE (7 pieces) and PALESTINE 1945-48 (10 pieces). All feature the effigy of George VI on the obverse and a winged Britannia with trident and wreath on the reverse. The ribbons are purple outer bands with green central band. The edges are all engraved with the awardee, save for one, with each piece housed in its own flip, with details pertaining to the awardee listed, if known. A fascinating array from a very specific period within Middle East affairs.
