BURMA: TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th/18th century, cast large tin coin (51.51g), Robinson, Phayre-Plate III.3 (obverse only), 69mm; mythical hintha bird facing right, with long tail rising above, some extra feathers along its back, and holding a 9-leaf branch in its beak // Burmese ta-weh (for the city of Dawei in Tenasserim Province); a lovely example!
