MUGHAL: Shah Jahan I, 1628-1658, AR rupee (11.42g), Ahmadabad, AH1043, KM-235.1var, without regnal year; broad flan of 24.7mm, much broader than the normal rupees of about 20-21mm and much smaller than the traditional nazarana rupee struck from special dies and about 34mm in diameter; full strike with all legends clear, VF, R. Similar examples are known from several different mints, all based on the KM-235 type. Thus there seems to be three separate issues, and further research is needed.
