FATIMID: al-Mustansir, 1036-1094, AV dinar (3.44g), Halab, AH432, A-719.1var, Nicol-1705, standard Fatimid type, except that the name al-muzaffar appears below the obverse field, for the Midrasid Anushtigin al-Dizbari, who was the Fatimid governor of Syria based in Damascus and as commander of a Fatimid army defeated the Mirdasid forces near Hims. He died in 432, when the Mirdasid Thamal was able to regain northern Syria; partly clipped, VF, RR.
