GHORID: Suri b. al-Husayn, 1145-1149, AR dirham (2.53g), NM, ND, A-H1754, citing the caliph al-Muqtafi (AH531-555), without any overlord, fine style similar to the late Ghazna silver dirhams of the Ghaznavids, unpublished and likely the second known example of this short-lived ruler, Very Good to Fine, RRR. This is the 2nd known example for this ruler, the first one sold in our Auction 44, lot 620 (same dies as this piece).
