Sultans of Malwa, square gold Token, 10.89g, modelled on Mohur of Ghiyath Shah (1469-1500), similar to G & G M.67, but with ghiyath to left of sultan and unreadable mint / date on reverse, oblong punch with numeral inked on at base of reverse, very fine.
This token, modelled on Mohurs of the Sultans of Malwa, corresponds very closely to genuine Mohurs of this ruler, and may have been contemporaneous. They vary only in the molding of the edge, a slight legend variation, and the lack of a realistic date or mint formula
Estimate: £420 - £470
