"SMA" (abbreviating Simon in paleo-Hebrew), seven-branched palm tree with two bunches of dates; countermark X on undertype visible on branches of tree / "Year two for the freedom of Israel" (paleo-Hebrew), vine leaf on tendril. Hendin 6436 (this coin illustrated); cf. Mildenberg 198 (without countermark). Dark green patina, overstruck. VF. Crude.
