Horseman type Gold Dinar Coin of Kumaragupta I of Gupta Dynasty.
Gupta Dynasty, Kumaragupta I (Mahendraditya) (415-455 CE), Gold Dinar, "Horseman – Right" type, Obv: the king, nimbate, riding a ceremonially adorned horse to the right, wearing a necklace and armlets and his sash flowing out from behind, holding a sword in his right hand, the Brahmi legend "Pritivitalambarasasi (Kumaragupto jayatyajitah)" around the field, with the letter 'Priti' placed between the head of the king and the head of the horse, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi, nimbate, her ears, neck, arms, wrists, waist and ankles are bejeweled, nimbate, seated facing left on a wicker stool, holding a big flower or a lotus with a long stalk with leaves and buds in the right hand, the left hand of the goddess rests on her waist, the Brahmi legend "Ajitamahendrah" in the right field, a dotted border around the field, 8.12g, 17.59mm, (Altekar. Bayana Hoard # Pl. XXII- 1/Variant of TGE, S. Kumar # Class II), about extremely fine, Extremely Rare.

Note: The reverse depicts the Goddess holding the lotus with a long stem is distinct, complete, and detailed strike shows the full detailed version of the jewels worn by the Goddess and the King are clearly visible, the reverse is gorgeous. An artistic coin showing the plaited hair of the horse which is beautifully ornate. This type is missing from various collections of Gupta coinage.
