Kings of All England. Eadred Penny ND (946-955) Chipped NGC (photo-certificate), Hildulfr as moneyer, S-1115 var. (there with crown), N-714 (this coin). 1.12gm. Bust crowned type. A superb rendition of this already scarce emission, notably lacking its general type identifier in the crown, yet every other detail the same for this Spink reference. Despite the noted chip, the piece still retains an impressive preservation, having likely been lost to time soon after its production. Mint brilliance abounds this survivor, which even to North, was attractive enough to include in his seminal reference on the subject. Accompanied by a York Coins flip and old collector's tag.
