SWEDEN. Gustav II Adolf den store (the Great). 1611–1632. AR Box Taler – Schraubtaler (42mm, 10.99 g). Dated 1632. Laureate, draped, and armored bust facing slightly right / Crowned oval coat-of-arms; shield in ornate frame. Forster 240; Davenport 4543. Toned with traces of iridescence, some light scratches, fields lightly chased. EF. Includes two handpainted roundels (one of Mary Magdelene [still attached]; the other, Christ in the hands of the Romans [separated from case])Includes handpainted roundel of Mary Magdelene and the Risen Christ (separated from case), and 12 mica films with scenes of the Passion (some damaged).
