SICILY, Gela. Circa 490/85-480/75 BC. AR Didrachm (20mm, 8.34 g, 2h). Horseman riding right, preparing to cast javelin / Forepart of man-headed bull right within circular incuse. Jenkins, Gela, Group Ib, 65 (O20/R28); HGC 2, 363; SNG ANS 11 (same dies); BMC 19 (same dies). Iridescent tone, some deposits, a few light scratches. Good VF.
