LOCAL ISSUES, Silk Road Region. 5th-8th centuries AD. AV Bracteate Appliqué (19mm, 0.55 g, 12h). Two panels separated horizontally by ground line: upper panel with men on horseback vis-à-vis; bird above; lower panel with lions vis-à-vis; flower between reaching to upper panel; pseudo-legend around / Incuse of obverse. Unpublished in the standard references. Toned, slight striking fractures, pierced twice. VF.
