Laureate and cuirassed bust right, gorgoneion on breastplate, seen from the front / River-god Istros reclining left, head right, holding tree and reed, resting elbow on urn from which water flows. HH&J 8.23.32.6; AMNG 1763 var. (bust type, legends); Varbanov 3483 var. (same). Brown patina, cleaning scratches, edge chip. EF. Very rare variety.
