SASANIAN KINGS. Bahram (Varhran) V. 420-438 AD. Æ (1.88 gm; 15 mm). Obverse, Bahram's bust turning right with a monogram in front of face, reverse, fire altar with attendants. The monogram in front of face on the obverse, might be letters (counterclockwise) of "DY" (meaning "creator" or month of "Day" in Persian/Zoroastrian Calendar) or given similar examples for letter "R" "DR" for "Darbaar"(Court also known as BBA). Well struck on a nice broad flan. Nice original reddish patina. Choice EF. Extremely rare.
