ENGLAND'S LEADING PROVINCIAL COIN DEALER around edge; Jamaica Street Car Co Ltd, 1 fare aluminium token, undated (Pr.140), the first very fine, the second as made, the third with some slightly damaged/jagged edges, otherwise extremely fine (3)
The second one of only 25 struck in silver. Known affectionately as 'Uncle Fred' having begun dealing in coins in 1932, Jeffery established himself as the first English dealer to regularly attend the American Numismatic Association annual convention. Today his son continues the family business.
