NGC AU53 | James I (1603-1625), Third Coinage, Half-Laurel of 10-Shillings, 1623-1624, fourth head, very small ties, value behind, rev. crowned shield over long cross fourchée, 4.46g, 5h, m.m. lis [after REGNA on reverse] (Schneider I, 91; North 2117; Spink 2641A), pleasingly full flan with some peripheral softness muted by hints of lustre in recesses, a strong portrait for type, a pleasing very fine thus, in NGC holder, graded AU53 (Cert. #6627066-003).
