George II (1727-1760), Five-Guineas, 1741, '4 over 3' DECIMO QVARTO, first young laureate head left, legend regularly spaced with large lettering, rev. crowned garnished shield, eleven strings to harp, DECVS • ET • TVTAMEN • ANNO REGNI • DECIMO • QVARTO upwards on edge, 41.87g, 7h (Murdoch III, 38; Douglas-Morris -; King 167; Schneider II, 562, dies 7/7 var.; MCE 284; Spink 3663A), some light handling marks in otherwise lustrous original fields, a handsomely bold and uniform strike across all devices, particularly well accentuated by light orange tone from peripheries, extremely fine.
