Aethelred II 'the Unready' (978-1016), Longcross Type, Penny, c. 997-1003, London, Godwine, diademed and draped bust left, rev. + GODPINE M'O LVND, voided longcross, angles plain, 1.21g, 4h (North 774; BMC IVa; Spink 1151), subtly crimped, but rich dark cabinet toning, a really very good very fine, and pleasing.
