Charles I (1625-1649), Group V, Halfcrown, 1646-1648, Tower (under Parliament), fifth foreshortened and tall spirited horseman left, rev. oval garnished shield, 1h, m.m. sceptre (Brooker 379; North 2215; Spink 2780), centres sharply struck up and the peripheries typically softer on an irregular flan, a really pleasingly bold very fine, rare in this excellent state.
