The Robert P Ball Cabinet of Ancient Coins | Attica, Athens, AR Tetradrachm, c. 440-404 BC, (Mid-Mass Coinage Issue), head of Athena right, wearing earring, necklace, and crested Attic helmet ornamented with three laurel leaves and vine scroll, rev. AOE owl standing right, head facing, olive sprig with two leaves and one berry, crescent moon behind, all within incuse square, 11h (Kroll 8; SNG Copenhagen, 31-40; HGC 4, 1597), struck in high relief, and further accentuated by pleasing cabinet tone, some sharp scratches to edge reported for accuracy, but impinging little on so thoroughly wholesome an example of this well-documented series, about extremely fine.
