Edward VIII bronzed lead "Coronation" Medal 1937 MS64 Brown NGC, BHM-4308, CM-271a. 44.5mm. By Tiptaft. Obv. Crowned bust right. Rev. Britannia standing under arch, holding crown, ships at sea in background. Faint hues of orange and red enliven this rare type that marks Edward VIII's intended coronation. The design seamlessly blends elements of Art Deco and British allegory. This is a rather elegant, bronzed lead specimen. From the Abbeygate Collection of British Medals
