L. Capurnius L.f. L.n. Piso Frugi. 90 B.C. AR denarius (18.9 mm, 3.68 g, 3 h). Rome mint, Struck ca. 90 B.C. Head of Apollo right, hair bound with fillet; F behind and F beneath chin; all within dottted border / L PISO [L F] FRVG (P & I in monogram), naked horseman galloping right, holding long palm-branch; no symbol above, beneath, XXVII. Cf. RRC 340/1; CRR 650-671d; RSC/Babelon Calpurnia 6-12d . Good Fine, well-worn, but undamaged and decently attractive - medium gray toning, apparently an old cleaning re-toning.
