Although "dated" 1780 and originally minted in Vienna, the Maria Theresia Thaler has been (and probably is still being) struck in many places around the world over the centuries as it has always been a trade coinage, it is particularly popular in the mid-east where it's known as "The fat one". This piece was probably produced in the 20th century, possibly late 19th century - so far as is visible, this is not an "original" strike. Modern strikes, however, with a few very small differences are challenging to place precisely as they are so close to the original.
