Bermuda 28.7.1964 P-22 PMG Gem UNC 66 EPQ 10 Pounds (Super Binary S/N)
A wonderful example of the highest denomination issued in Bermuda prior to the introduction of the Bermuda Dollar in 1970. This was a short-lived issue that represented a fairly large sum of money at the time of issue. What makes this particular example special (in addition to its wonderful originality) is the fact that it as a so-called "Super Binary" serial number. This means that both the prefix and the serial number only consists of 1's and 0's. Those who are more number inclined than your author can no doubt identify exactly how many times a super binary serial number can exist, but especially if we consider that A=1 the number of true super binary serial numbers is very small.
If you are less number inclined we must mention that this is a lovely example of this challenging type, with above average eye-appeal for the technical grade. Strong embossing is noted, and the note is free from foxing sometimes seen on this issue in uncirculated grades (the result of improper storage). The colors are bright and fresh and overall it is a fantastic type note for an advanced Bermuda collection.
