France 20.7.1939 P-97a PMG Gem UNC 66 EPQ 5000 Francs
A fantastic original example of this scarce high denomination from France, tied for finest in the PMG population report. Not only is it quite unusual to find this large format note at this grade level, to have that example fully original and free from pinholes that so often plague French banknotes and its thin paper is highly unusual. A fantastic (French) design is seen on both sides, with near perfect centering and no visual distractions.
