Iraq 1931 (ND 1935) P-8c PMG Choice About UNC 58 1/2 Dinar

C prefix. A popular type from Iraq, not often seen in such high grade. Strong embossing is noted in the PMG holder, and the note appears entirely original to us. There's some handling visible, indicating that the note has not been pressed, and perhaps that handling is just a bit too excessive for the note to garner an uncirculated grade. The serial numbers are strongly embossed, the colors and bright, and overall the eye-appeal is exceptional for this issue.

The signature combination of L.S. Amery and R. al Chadirchi is seen on this example, which features the portrait of King Ghazi in military uniform. Despite being in circulation for less than a decade this particular series features a number of signature varieties that are actively collected by specialists. Other collectors may be satisfied with a single type example. For both sets of collectors the example offered here would make for a fantastic opportunity to acquire this type in seldom seen grade.

PMG Population in 58: 2 (9 Finer)
