Poland 20.8.1939 P-87s PMG Superb Gem UNC 67 EPQ 20 Zlotych (Specimen)
Dated shortly before the German invasion of Poland, this American Banknote Company produced 20 Zlotych is an unissued design requested by the Polish government in exile as a possible issue for after the liberation of Poland. A more extensive series (also unissued) was prepared by the English firm of Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Even though they were never issued the notes appear in the Pick catalog and are extremely desirable and among the finest designs produced by the respective printers during this period. This 20 Zlotych in blue is surpassed in the PMG population report by just a single finer example, and would be a perfect addition to an advanced collection of Polish banknotes or World War II notes.
