Vargunteius, AR Denarius, 130BC M•VARG Head of Roma to right, wearing crested and winged helmet, star to right, rev. ROMA Jupiter in slow quadriga to right, holding thunderbolt in his left hand and palm frond in his right, 5h, 3.89g, (Babelon (Vargunteia) 1; Crawford, 257/1; RBW, 1048; Sydenham, 507) nicely toned, slightly worn but lustrous and near very fine, (4)..
