Reverse: Inside a circle; in center, within two intersecting pentagons; the star of Italy is intertwined with an olive branch; below, the year of issue. Between the vertexes of the two pentagons; a symbol of science and perfection; the years in which Italy held the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
