KINGS of PERSIS. Uncertain king I. 2nd century BC. AR Obol (9mm, 0.71 g, 12h). Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Head right with very short beard, wearing diadem and kyrbasia surmounted by eagleia / Fire temple, Ahura-Mazda above; to left, king standing right; to right, standard surmounted by eagle. van't Haaff Type 553a (Unknown King I-X) var. (crescent on back of kyrbasia); K&M –. Iridescence in devices, traces of die rust. Good VF.
