The Triumvirs. Octavian. Summer 37 BC. Fourée Denarius (17.5mm, 2.79 g, 12h). Imitating an official issue of a southern or central Italian mint. Legend around empty field / Emblems of the augurate and pontificate: simpulum, aspergillum, guttus, and lituus. Cf. Crawford 537/1 (all references for official issue); cf. CRI 310; cf. Sydenham 1332; cf. RSC 128; cf. RBW 1825. Toned, minor breaks in plating and test cut at edge, light porosity, some marks. Near VF.
