B>Alexanderson, Ernest Frederick Werner (1878-1975). Swedish-American electrical engineer, radio and television pioneer, and Father of the Television. Autograph Note Signed "E.T.W. Alexanderson". 8 1/3 x 5 ¾" folding card, Alexanderson writes on the right side "Sr. A. Zorilla de San Martin Appreciating your interest in television" and signs below. The left side of the note card is a B&W image of Alexanderson showing the back of an early television to a visitor (the first television broadcast in the U.S. was received at Alexanderson's GE plot home in Schenectady, NY in 1927). Accompanied by the front of the original envelope in which the note was sent, postmarked "Schenectady May 10 1928" and addressed to Sr. Zorilla de San Martin in Montevideo, Uruguay; and a period Spanish newsclipping showing Alexanderson. Some paper adhesion to blank back of note. Very Good and rare..
