(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1850, Type IA, second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.89g, 6h (MCE 511; Marsh 33; Spink 3852C), die flaw to the C in VICTORIA, lightly bagmarked and wiped, nevertheless the legend lustrous, some toning to the reverse, very fine, rare.
