(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1852, Type IA (2), second larger young head, W.W. in relief on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.92g, 7h; another, similar, 7.96g, 6h (MCE 513; Marsh 35; Spink 3852C), the first with a touch of rub to hair and a couple of small contact marks, otherwise lustrous to legends, good very fine, the second lightly contact marked, yet lustrous to legend, very fine (2).
