(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1861, Type IA (6), second larger head right, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.96g, 6h; another, similar, 7.96g, 6h; another, similar, 7.97g, 6h,; a fourth, similar, 7.95g, 6h; a fifth, similar 7.96g, 6h; lastly, 7.95g, 6h (MCE 522; Marsh 44; Spink 3852D), all lightly contact marked, a couple with a small edge bruise and some with rub to the hair, otherwise all with varying degrees of lustre, very fine to good very fine (6).
